McCormick Weekend @ Diamond Lake

what a whirlwind week for visits! so, the day the garvey clan left we headed up to cass for our annual weekend at the lake with the mccormicks (and even a night with crazy uncle jay and miss vashti!) so great to see all the kids together. we had a jam-packed day of fun in the sun. we did it all- big breakfast, fun in the pool, paddle boat rides, james even went on his first jet ski excursion with daddy! and topped it all off with a boat ride complete with tubing and bubbles. couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day either.
wish you were here!

Pyma Leftovers

so, we missed the pymatuning this year, but were fortunate enough to get the leftovers! clare drove back from the lake with katie and michael and was able to spend some time with us, and kev and shan and kiddos also stopped in for a quick visit while en route to chicago! lucky us. we crammed in some sight-seeing of the old garvey house, as well as joining in on james' swim lesson. fun stuff. miss everyone already.

Makes me want a hot dog, REAL bad...

The fourth of July was a nice laid back holiday for us this year. Corey actually stated that, though he has lived here practically his whole life, he thinks this was his first fourth spent in Windingbrook! (We're usually at my very own Pyma lake with my fam or up at Diamond Lake with his...) There was a parade we participated in (more like tried to keep up with though... we never did pass the ice cream truck but did luckily catch up with it for a popsicle at the end! I was a bit slow for obvious reasons... I hope) and plenty of fireworks (which thankfully the boys slept right through!) We followed up those neighborhood festivities the next night with the usual Diamond Lake celebration, but this year it was anything but usual as Mom and Dad Cressy outdid themselves with a huge blowout "couples shower" (aka pre-wedding reception complete with music, dinner, and full bar) for Mike Hammes and Meghan McCurdy. (Meghan, you looked amazing. It'll be hard to follow that outfit up with your quincierra dress!)

Isa-boy turns one!

Our godboy has reached the one year mark! La and Drew did SUCH an amazing job decorating and what a splendid celebration it was! Those boys are gonna be a handful in a matter of years (Timbo at the lead with James, Sean and Isaiah following his every move! This could be dangerous... Laura, we WILL find Isa a helmet, too!)
