Jeanne turnded 60!... (and Sean got a haircut.)

Well, it wasn't the surprise it was supposed to be, but the Garvey clan was all reunited to celebrate my mom turning the big 6-0. Katie and I flew in to be with mom on her big day. There were nails done and naps taken, and a delicious dinner at the country club to cap it all off. We all toasted mom, much to her delight (I think she might have even relished all the tears shed... and there were QUITE a few what with 3 very pregnant women there!) Needless to say, much fun was had by all. Just sad that my better halves were not there to join in the festivities. I know the cousins greatly missed out on James and Sean bonding time as those Boston kids are forming quite the bond.
On a separate and much lesser note- the mullet is gone. Corey and I realized after seeing some pictures taken by friends, that we had been turning the ever-present parental "blind-eye" to the fact that Sean's loose curls in the back were getting a LITTLE long, and the top wasn't catching up. SO, after a few weeks of Corey's prodding, we sat the kid down in the now too small excersaucer and with Wow Wow Wubzy going in front of him, I chopped off all that hair in back of him! Thank goodness, though, my biggest fear has been put to rest, the curls have remained! Looks like he, too, will get his dad's hair.

April 28

Life is going on. Spring finally seems like it's here (though snow was in today's forecast... luckily though the weathermen proved to be wrong... again.) I've started putting away winter clothes, though not the freakishly awesome crown sweater you see James wearing in many of the family pix. I'll have you all know that my mom MADE that. How did such talent completely pass me over? We're back to taking walks and feeding the ducks in the good ol' creek (no place better than at Dunbar's beach!)
On another note, this past weekend Corey and I attended his college roommate, Jon Harvey's wedding. It was (thankfully) a local affair at Notre Dame and we were so lucky to have all of our college friends essentially come to US. Our affinity for children has finally passed on to some of our friends! My old roommate Marybeth and Dave are expecting a week after us! I am SO excited to have someone to gab with about all the fun stuff associated with this camel's hump on my front!

*hiccup*... I'm baaack...

(to my sibs- you should read the title as if it were the rat from charlotte's web when he returns from pillaging the circus grounds and his stomach makes that hysterically gross sound as he slides over the gate to charlotte's pen...)
hello all!! i am back. hyperemesis proved a tough challenger, but i do believe i came out victorious. thanks again, mom, for all your support and tlc. as much as i chastised you for those websites, your research on the subject made me feel much better knowing there were others going through what i was going through (it wasn't all in my head!) i am so happy to be once again behind the camera and able to capture my boys' life. i can NOT believe i don't have 1 picture to prove their growth and existence for an entire 2 months of their short lives!!! oh well, so long january and february 2007.
i hope you all can read my pink text. it is in honor of the wee lass in me belly! we have 2 ultrasound confirmations that it really is a girl we will be having come 8-8-08 (though corey and i still somehow manage a bit of doubt!) we have named her Jeanne Kiernan Cressy (pronounced "jean" for all you freaks.. ahem, mccurdy... who think it should be pronounced "jee-anne") and are anxiously awaiting her arrival.
i promise to get back to posting much more frequently. here are just a few pix of easter weekend when katie, michael, and claud came to visit. hope all is well with all of you. can't wait to get back into the swing of things and communicating again!

xy-xx mas

so, christmas has come and gone, but morning sickness has stuck around. yep. this new year finds me pregnant again, and going by the name Preggy McPukerton. it sure was nice to have someone to comiserate with when home in dedham. katie elizabeth is in the same boat it seems, although she will be out of it soon enough (i pray for her sake!) the due date is 8-8-08 (lucky me since my lucky number is 8... although when that luck shows itself, i'll have to wait and let you know...) anyway, i'm repeating a lot of this, so back to the reason for the season- james and sean had a very wonderful christmas. they do so love their nonnie and grandfather, et all. good times were indeed had by all. hope you and yours had a merry christmas and a joyful new year.

james' 3rd birthday

i don't think i have to stress to many of you how truly DONE i am with cars!!!! i know way more than i ever imagined about different models, etc. james has certainly not tired of this phase yet (much to my and my living room's dismay. there is no more room!!!) anyway, the birthday boy got what he wanted, and i would do just about anything to see that guy smile. wish you could've all been there to see him light up EVERY time a new car was unwrapped!

winter's here

winter is here! with it has come all the good stuff- christmas trees, decorations, bundling up and hot chocolate! funniest thing about these pix of james is that he was SO enjoying his hot chocolate. he even said, "oh, mom! this is just delightful!" (i kid you not.) but the last picture in the slideshow is when he realized what his face actually looked like! he was horrified!
